 About this piece:
This piece is about coming back to one’s center and the things that ground us. I’m using mountains, sky, and things from the natural world (petals, feathers, grass) to bring the viewer back to his/her origins. In the central panel I use fire above the dog’s head to convey thoughts. Unlike my painting The Power of Thought, however, the dog is in control of his mind. This is exemplified by the fire being above his head as opposed to in place of it.
