| About this piece: Endurance. We all face unexpected challenges in life. Often they come seemingly out of nowhere. One never knows what is waiting in one’s future so there is always an element of instability and chance in life. To me the rose symbolizes passion in all its forms. This and companionship are what sustain me when the dice don’t go my way or tornados are on the horizon. The twelve months preceding the creation of this painting were full of such events. |
