About this piece:
This piece is about overcoming moments of self doubt and uncertainty in life, especially during adolescence. Most of the painting is rendered in black and white to convey the feeling of emptiness and lack of purpose or "color" one can feel during these times. The ant is hauling a leaf 10 times it’s size up a vertical wall symbolizing our potential. The fortune cookie is in color and a central focus of the piece, calling the viewer to focus on what's possible in a world that at times can seem bleak.
